Malek Veterans Memorial - Old Westmont

 

Took Ruckie out for a spin. With Flad Day coming up - stopped to take some shots of the Malek Veteran Memorial in old Westmont. Next time I go up that way - I'll take some better shots.

Riding Partner

This was taken in old Westmont - what would Jesus do - why he would ride a Honda Ruckus.

Honan Avenue, Beaver Dam and Hinckston

RJ on his Razor 400 heading up Honan Avenue on our way to Hinckston.

A picture perfect sping day and this section of the road had the most intense smell of lilac you could imagine.

The beginning of the beaver dam.

This thing is HUGE!

This is how it looks from high above.

It's also spilling over into the road - it's only a matter of time - before this thing takes this section completely over.

Time for a break - I have to say both my Ruckus and his baby Ruckus took this section really well.

RJ excited we made it up to Hinckston.

This is where his bike finally ran out of juice - considering it's electric - it made the almost 5 mile trek quite well.

Billows

That is RJ. Bought him a Razor 400 - Electric Dirt Bike so that he could come riding up the mountain with me. That little thing has some great zip and power - goes up to 14 mph. Which at this point is fast enough for him. After riding for awhile - we took off looking for arrowheads.

Went the back way to Billows - off of Decker - to see just how well the Ruckus handled - she did great!

Old Billows Airport - one of my favorite places to roam to look for arrowheads.

There is a young flock of turkey that called this section home.

But I guess event the Honda engine was a wee bit too loud - didn't spot any.

 It was so beauitful today - that I took the Ruckus for a couple of nice long runs. This one started up at St. Therese Ballfield.
